had my hair twisted to protect it from the dropping winter temps.Not that Vancouver gets freezing cold but twists are much easier to maintain.

I randomly picked different stuff  and threw in a can of one of my fav drink(Mandarin orange)

Included in the pic are my African earrings and necklace,Shea body mist,Iris hand soap,two rings,make-up bag and jewelery box to help balance the stuff.

Family Day Weekend

The sis and sis drove over from Calgary for the weekend,such a long drive for them but I enjoyed having them around. They arrived on Friday morning so \i gave them some time to rest and early evening we were ready to hang around Vancouver.

First stop was Banana Leaf Malaysian Cuisine place where we enjoyed different mouthwatering dishes.

We had Steamed Mussels in ginger and cumin sauce as our starter.

For the main meal we each ordered a dish, sides of roti with peanut sauce and rice.

Enjoyed the meal and I will definitely visit go back to these restaurant. After our hearty dinner we went and watched the movie Safehouse starring Denzel Washinton.

30 Day Photography Challenge : D.I.Y Cow Scarf

Have been meaning to learn how to crotchet for the longest and I finally got down to doing it. My first project was working on a cow scarf as I had to master how to use the crotchet. I took to youtube so I could pick up a pattern or so and I loved this one but have since forgotten the name of this pattern.

 This took longer than anticipated as I was juggling school and work and other stuff at the same time.

 The finishing part wasn't that difficult too as I came up with my own way to do it so one does not see where the scarf starts and ends. And it will definitely keep one warm as I used the thick wool.

30 Day Photo Challenge:Nighttime

Was out downtown hanging out with friends for a couple of hours and just loved how the store lights,night lights were illuminating in the busy street while everyone went about their business,shopping,strolling or rushing home to relax after a hard day at work.

 The pics are from one of the busiest streets in Vancouver and this is the same street that has most of the clubs .

I just love the different color loghts each building has and how they all blend in when it is nighttime.

And the challenge continues, the pics were in my archive for some time now.

 I have been adding color to my closet and this top couldn't have come at the right, got the top from my sis after days of eyeing it at H&M.

 Paired it with grey slacks and was ready to go.

Been in Vancouver one has to get used to the rainy gloomy weather so I had to take my pics indoors but I managed to edit the bit I had. Love Vancouver weather though, this is the only place in Canada that doesn't get so much snow and if it snows the city comes to a halt of some sort. To date we have had a few days of snow and its been warm of late with rain here and there.

African Dress:Ghana

Sunny days in winter call for a change in the type of dresses I wear to church. We had a streak of sunny days and I decided to pull out the African dress to church.

I've had the dress for a while now,got it as a present from my Ghanaian friend and was contemplating on shortening it. I still am contemplating but kinda like the length its in right now. Eventually I'm going to get down to doing it though 

Bath & Body Works:Shea Cashmere Fragrance Mist

I visited the Bath &Body Works store in Bellingham,WA and They had a knockdown sale. they had a 50-75% sale happening and I decided to try out the fresh fragrance mist.

 I love the shape of the bottle it comes in and the mist has a refreshing and lingering smell that stays when you spray it.

out having dinner with friends in Bellingham,WA

 Stepped out the other day to go downtown and it was a bright day despite the fact that its supposed to be winter now.Winter in Vancouver means gloomy rainy days but this was a different day altogether.

 oooh me and food are such good friends. This was one dish I enjoyed while visiting my fam back home.Had rice,butternuts,coleslaw salad,bbqd chicken and pork,beef stew.
