 Summer and bright colors go along just fine. Attended an aunt's wedding a few weeks back and this is what I wore.It was an orange affair.I enjoyed the wedding as I got to dance to many of songs played at weddings back home.

Lava "Kelly Green" Pumps

Was in Toronto for the Labour Day weekend enjoying some time with family and friends. Went shopping for a bit and I managed to pick these shoes. This was the last pair and my size too.

Really comfy and the heel is not that high and not so low,something in-between 

Decided on wearing the pumps to a relaxed night out with friends and I paired the shoes with some shorts and Kelly Green top and I was ready to hang out with friends.

Another year has gone by and I am thankful for all that has happened and more to come.Unlike other years this year my birthday fell on a Wednesday so I couldn't do much during the week. All I could do was spend the day at work and then dinner later on in the evening.

Enjoyed the night and the company and above all my meal unfortunately on this occasion I didn't take any pics of the meal. :-(

Celebrated my birthday yesterday (15August) and this is what I got from my sis Sasha.Love love it.

Dot Marc Jacobs is described as Chic and Charming, a lush floral bouquet of beautiful jasmine and juicy red berries.

Love the shame of the bottle and the packaging too.

Thanks Sasha a toast to getting older and appreciating life and all that it brings.

Earring Haul

Recently moved to a new province and was not busy Friday so I decided to visit a few boutiques to see if I could a few items. Didn't have anything in mind was just in for a surprise and this is what I found.

Summertime:Color blocked Maxi

The days are getting warmer which calls for dressing in clothes that leave me feeling comfortable the whole day. I paid the mall a visit and stopped by Forever 21 just to browse through and ended up leaving the store with not one but two maxi dresses.

I was going through some of blogs and noticed another blogger had the same dress and styled it differently too. Check out how the other blogger styled it Channing in the City. I styled it differently with a thick belt,wore my Steve Madden platforms and was good to attend church.

Turquiose & Bantu Knots

Sunny days call for a lot of things: these include leaving my hair out,sunnies,wearing sandals and more dresses. this summer I adopted something new,instead of tonging or flat ironing my hair I have decided to do overnight Bantu knots and undo them the next day. When I undo them the next morning I got these cute curls depending on the size of Bantu knots I made.These were my first Bantu knots, I moisturized my hair with Olive oil moisturizer and sprayed some Olive Oil spray. Fortunately I loved the knots taken out but I did not know how to style my hair so i combed the front a bit and left the curls out at the back and other side.

I paired up my curled up hair with the summery turquiose dress I picked up from one of the boutiques downtown.

African Fusion

A friend was celebrating her birthday and we decided to celebrate it by going to enjoy some Kenyan food.(She's Kenyan too but hadn't visited Simba's Restaurant located in Vancouver downtown.

It was kind of chilly hence me not removing my knee high jacket,also decided to pair my skirt with a different top instead of the matching top.Love the pink and green combinations on the skirt and the pleats too.

Day was kind of packed as we kicked it off by attending the mid morning church service, went to the Science World to watch the 3D Arabia movie. Lastly we met up with a bunch of other friends and we went to Simba's for dinner.

 We call it Sadza in Zimbabwe but in Kenya they call it Ugali

Enjoyed the food and enjoyed the live singing we had throughout the dinner. Tried out the Rose petal ice cream which does taste and smell like the rose too.

The sun is finally making a daily show now not sure if it will last long though with this Vancouver weather you can never be certain.Was hanging out wit my friend just doing some random window shopping and I bumped into these comfy fuschia pants at Zara.

 The pants are so comfy,no back pockets and the perfect size.got them at a really good price too.

Sunday Best

Weekend waas so relaxed after the Friday night sleepover. The gloomy weather on Sat didn't help that much so I pretty much spent the whole day indoors.Sunday was different altogether as it was a bit on the warm side .

 Sunday sermon was good too.Message was Stop Complaining and wait for God to work on his own time for He has bigger plans for us. Pastor went on to give an example of how he sent people to go see the promised Land but some came back complaining and those that did not complain were the ones who managed to set foot into the Promised Land and stay there. The land where there is Milk and Honey.

 Less complaining and more living each day and being Thankful for everything.
