Was so happy when I heard my favorite musician from back home was coming into town to play at The Afrikadey 2012 held at the Prince's Island Park,Calgary.

Had a good time at the concert too bad he only played for an hour. I picked out my favorite jumpsuit because it's comfy and it was a rather hot day.

Celebrated my birthday yesterday (15August) and this is what I got from my sis Sasha.Love love it.

Dot Marc Jacobs is described as Chic and Charming, a lush floral bouquet of beautiful jasmine and juicy red berries.

Love the shame of the bottle and the packaging too.

Thanks Sasha a toast to getting older and appreciating life and all that it brings.

Amato Gelato and Short Jean Dress

Hot summer nights call for two things, comfy loose clothes and something to cool one down. After a long day outdoors, watching a soccer game there was no better way to wind down. We headed out to the only place I know that serves the best gelato and ice cream in Calgary. I know I know I'm new after my move from BC to AB but I know one thing for sure this is the place to visit for anytime dessert.

Here is what I wore, something perfect for a night out chilling and enjoying the best dessert in town.

For my dessert I had Mandarin gelato,it had a sweet and tangy tangy taste to it and really enjoyed it. We sat by the patio and just chatted the night away.

Recently moved to a new province and was not busy Friday so I decided to visit a few boutiques to see if I could a few items. Didn't have anything in mind was just in for a surprise and this is what I found.

Summertime:Color blocked Maxi

The days are getting warmer which calls for dressing in clothes that leave me feeling comfortable the whole day. I paid the mall a visit and stopped by Forever 21 just to browse through and ended up leaving the store with not one but two maxi dresses.

I was going through some of blogs and noticed another blogger had the same dress and styled it differently too. Check out how the other blogger styled it Channing in the City. I styled it differently with a thick belt,wore my Steve Madden platforms and was good to attend church.

White & Blue Affair

July days are supposed to be warm and summery days but for some reason this year Summer decided to arrive yet.So much to looking forward to summer time and only getting rainy,cloudy days. These pics have been sitting in my archives for the longest but I finally came round to uploading them.

This is what I wore to church about three weeks ago ,the day when we had to pray and thank God for  my birth country,Zimbabwe. I was picked to represent my country and stand in front of the whole congregation and say what we Zimbabweans are particularly thankful to God about.After church we had to rush to the airport to drop off a friend who was flying out to the motherland.

Having a barbecue was not one of the plans I had in mind for after church hence the whole African attire look at the lake. Day turned out well considering this was a new barbecuing spot for a bunch of us. Taking a day to drive out the city to a place where we can all connect with the outdoor life and chill with friends ain' t a bad idea at all.

Love the blue long African dress, my friend had it sewn in Kenya and I had mine sewn in South Africa.
