Black & Cream + Ankle Boots

A couple of friends and I decided to drive over to Bellingham for a bit of shopping and just hanging out. This is what I managed to put together.

I was looking more for a comfy look as I was going to be walking around the mall and trying out clothes here and there.

Army Colored Jumpsuit

When I found out I was going to visit my birth country I was so excited as this meant I would meet my cousins.friends, attend different functions I had so missed attending (a wedding), enjoy all the fruits that Canada does not offer among other things. This meant I could wear my army colored jumpsuit and color block with my orange heels and orange/sky blue earrings.

I had the opportunity to attend a wedding,an African wedding for that matter on the 31st of Dec. This was a different way to step into the New Year and what better way to end a year both the new coupe and the whole crowd at large. It had been a while since I had attended a wedding that was conducted in Shona, so missed hearing the MC entertain the guests, missed the music and missed the whole joy a wedding brings to everyone.

Me and Noma
The wedding was held at Raintree an exclusive and up-market wedding venue located 30minutes outside Harare and was strictly by invite. This is a place were the church service is conducted beside the stream and there is a tent nearby for the reception. In-between the city and untamed nature lies a place that is still in touch with nature,Raintree. While the service was being conducted we could see monkeys running around in search of food and all.

Thanx to my friend I was on the guest-list. Most weddings that I remember have the bridal team who entertain guests with their practiced dance moves and a band to entertain the guests.

Me and Eve
I met up with a couple of new people and enjoyed myself fully. The wedding was well planned, I enjoyed the entertainment from  the Jazz Invitation band singing to the occasion and keeping guests on their toes and loved listening to some old and new Zimbabwean songs.

Happy New Year

Better late than never, would have done it earlier but seeing I was away and internet was a scarce thing to come by, no time is better than now when I'm all settled back in from my trip from The Motherland-Zimbabwe. Hope the New Year is treating you well and you all winded down to 2011 well.

I had a pleasant trip visiting family, hanging out with friends and attending different functions. Talk about people all grown to the extent that I couldn't recognize some of my young cousins.

loved the weather though the temperatures sometimes were unbearable but the rains had a way of cooling it all down. Loved it when it rained as I could smell the fresh Earth, hear the rain hitting on the roof something I had dearly missed as the rains here are not that heavy.

Stay  tuned for posts loaded with pics of my summer holiday and more.

Forever 21 & Spring Haul

Made a quick dash to the mall last week and this is what I grabbed.

Spring had a good deal, Buy One Get One Free for all earrings.Made a score.
 Peacock feathered Earrings
Picked up a flower accessory for the hair. Forever 21 always has some pretty cute stuff and a wide variety. This worked out well for me since I wanted a whole bunch of colored earrings for my summer vacation.

A few more hours and I'm off to Zim,visit family and friends and enjoy the festive season.

Counting...5,4,3,2,1

As the semester draws to and end my days to visiting the Motherland,Zimbabwe are near. I am so excited, have been counting down from 3months and excitement has been building up as the day I arrive home draws near.

My mini countdown 2exams to go,7days to go till I set foot on my homeground. I can't wait to see all the so missed familiar faces, have all the african delicacies(cooked or roasted mealie cob), smell the fresh rain on the ground and endless other things. Visiting Africa in December you know what that means,I'm going to have two summers in one year..woohoo

Different shades of Grey/Gray

I have been searching high and low for a blazer and last Thursday I came across this one at H&M. I was super excited and couldn't quite decide on which blazer to pick since H&M has a whole variety out at good prices too.
I eventually decided on purchasing this one since I can do both with this blazer (dress it up or dress it down)
I love the gold buttons on the blazer.5 of them are just for design purposes and the 6th one can be used  to button it up of just leave the blazer be.The blazer has designs inside too, I love to roll up the sleeves a bit adds a different look altogether.
Below is how I paired the blazer with my recent shoe Steve Madden purchase from Ross.

Everytime I have pictures taken one of my leg always strikes up a pose of its own. It has come to be known as my leg signature pose.

New Shoes:Steve Madden

I traveled to the States recently to do a lil shopping. Had been planning this trip for the longest as I had to patiently wait for my passport and it came in time for some Christmas shopping.

Went into Ross,my oh my I found myself some shoes, two and did I just fall in love with them. Was looking for knee high boots but I didn't quite manage to find myself  pair and I was like Oh well no Knee High boots I might as well purchase the Steve madden pair I had set my eyes on.

You definately will be seeing more these shoes soon. Love love the heel details they have and so love that I can pair them with a couple of clothes from my closet.

One can never go wrong with a pair of Steve Madden shoes.
