Monday Myth: Sitting on the road

Many of these myths were brought up by the elders in a bid to stop children or people from developing bad habits. These habits were dangerous acts that would truly harm an individual. They were created because some people were not ready to listen when they are told straight up not to perform a certain activity or act. In fear of turn into something if they did not listen, children were ready not to go ahead with such an act.

While roaming in the streets or the neighborhood teenagers felt the need to sit in the main road or any road that cars passed by. To stop them from going on with such a bad habit the elders informed them if they did that they would develop bumps on their buttocks. The elders went on to say how these bumps could not be treated.

If translated elders were just using this as a caution to stop the kids from sitting on the road in case they get run over by oncoming traffic and get injured.
